Smoking Lungs

In general our lungs are in a healthy condition. This condition will change when we fall sick. Our lungs will also undergo changes when smoking takes effect in the body. You will find that smoking lungs are lungs which are not capable of performing to their full abilities. While there are other causes which can render our lungs incapable of performing up to their usual performance level it is smoking which is known as the main culprit.

When you look for information about smoking lungs on the internet you will see pictures of badly damaged the lungs look. In almost all of the pictures you will see that the lungs are blackened and bear a resemblance of being somewhat charred. Besides this appearance you will find that the lungs have become shrunken and list their elastic shape.

The diseases which can affect our lungs as a result of smoking are ones that we are all familiar with. These will include small cell cancer, non-small cell cancer, lung cancer, asthma, emphysema, bronchitis, and coughing. Some of these are more dangerous to your health whereas others are not that bad.

As each of these conditions affect the body in different ways you should see your doctor when you first notice that you are having trouble performing your usual tasks. It is necessary to get this needed help as leaving the condition untreated will only cause you suffering in the end.

The end result of smoking lungs is usually lungs which are riddled with some type of disease. Before you reach this phase of lung deterioration you will find that there are other incidents which take place. These include the effects of breathing in and out become more difficult. As your airways become clogged with smoke residue you will not be able to breathe deeply or even fully.

You will find that sometimes smoking lungs can affect your appetite and weight as well. While there are some people who will not feel the need to eat, their weight is put off balance. This is turn can affect their posture. The slouching and the hunching which results from smoking will cause the lung size to become small.

While these facts may not be apparent from the external appearance it is best if you are aware of these facts. By taking the appropriate action you can prevent your lungs from getting into a state where healing them is no longer possible. The longer that you keep smoking lungs present in your body the harder it will be to heal them.
