Magic Tricks You Can Do At Home

For the interested budding magician, you will find that there are many magic tricks you can do at home, without having to go down to a magic shop to get your props, and without having to practice overly hard at your magic tricks.

Of course this is only for the very basic of magic tricks you can do at home. As you go higher up the scale of performing magic tricks, be it the variety of magic tricks you can do at home or the ones you will have set up especially for an audience, you will find that you do need to practice.

However, if we get back to the more simple magic tricks you can do at home, you will find that although an initial run through or two are required to familiarize yourself with the trick, you will be able to do it in next to no time.

All you will need is the “how to” portion of the trick (as in how to actually do the trick!). The props needed to do the trick, most of which you will be able to find in your home, since these are simple magic tricks you can do at home; and a little bit of practice to get the desired result.

Oh, and a willing audience to witness your miraculous use of magic to do mysterious things with normal household items. And maybe a magic word or two, you know, something along the lines of “abracadabra”, but different?

That done, we can then move on to learning one of the magic tricks you can do at home. This is a simple one really, and all it requires is a shallow, flat bottomed pan, six toothpicks, a little bit of liquid detergent, and some water.

The fist thing you need to do is to take one of the toothpicks and dip the tip in some liquid detergent; set it aside for about an hour to dry. Next you need to thoroughly wash the shallow pan so there is no residue in it, of any sort.

When you are ready to perform this simple magic trick, you will need to fill the pan with water. Next, carefully place the toothpicks in the pan so that they resemble a pentagon. When your trick has been set up, tell your audience that you will break apart the toothpick pentagon, without using any force; you will instead be using a normal toothpick to do the job.

And so saying, take up the sixth toothpick which had earlier been dipped in liquid soap, and place it carefully in the middle of the pentagon. The toothpick pentagon will fly apart and your audience will be astounded by this simplest of magic tricks you can do at home!
