Video poker strategy is much the same as normal poker strategy so you won’t be losing out, in that respect.

Video poker is also good in that you can even use it as a good practice board even if you do play regularly at the online or brick and mortar poker rooms. You will be able to keep your skills up to date, not mention having the ability to try out various strategies.
These might of course be formulated for normal poker games where you have the advantage of interacting with the players around you and therefore picking up on subtle hints and clues. In which case, you will need to change these around to suit your game play in video poker strategy is what counts, remember that.
If you don’t have a sound strategy, even if it is only to play sensibly, you will find that you are more on a losing streak than a winning streak. The best way to avoid this, even when you are playing video poker is to formulate your own video poker strategy and game plans. And when the time comes you can always adapt your strategies to suit your present game play.
