How To Enjoy Rich Retirement When You Are Still Young

How to Enjoy Rich Retirement When You are Still Young

Have you ever felt like you are so stuck in the rat race of life that you will be trapped behind a desk until the day you die? I think we all have felt that way at least once in our lives. The problem lies in the fact that most of us do not save for retirement like we should. We all want our money now, not in 20-40 years when retirement age sets in. Most of us live in a time where our wants and needs get mixed up together and we spend too much of our paycheck to make a sizable contribution to our retirement account.

You can search your local library, ask your friends, and search the internet for books and blogs on ways to save for retirement. There are suggestions out there that can help you with some ideas and possibly bring in a good amount of extra income. Look at yourself and decide what you will be willing to do to save more for retirement so you can have more money in your golden years.

Here are some ways that you can supplement retirement income and possibly even retire early. Keep in mind, these are not overnight wealth plans, they are suggestions on ways to save for retirement. I have found tat the best way to provide yourself a good solid base to begin your retirement income, you need to create multiple incomes. These can start out as supplements to your current full time job, but may eventually evolve into your new full time job.

RENTAL PROPERTY: This is a way to use other people's money (the bank's) to invest in something that is going to bring monthly income to you. There is the monthly rental income, not to mention the capital appreciation that can lead to a large lump sum at retirement. Being a landlord is not the job for everyone. There is always the chance for the tenant that always complains or the tenant who does not pay the rent. However, more often than not, rental property is a good way for you to sock back some money for retirement.

EBAY: Ebay, along with other auction sites, has become a national phenomenon. I know I love to buy on Ebay, and since I started selling things on Ebay, I like that even more. Start out by selling things that are in your home that you know you will never use again, or have never used in the first place. Yes, even that purple sweater with the big fuzzy pony that you got for Christmas from Aunt Joan 2 years ago will likely bring a small amount on Ebay. After you get the hang of selling items, start hitting the clearance shelves at stores and eventually you may find an outlet for goods at wholesale prices that you can ebay and make a profit. You may not get rich, but if you put back all of your profit into an IRA or other retirement account, the deposited amount is tax free and you will have some spending money in your golden years.

There is always the opportunity for your to start your own business. Take a look around your area and see what you think your town needs. Go from there. Or if you prefer to do it all in your pajamas, look into an internet based business. The internet is growing by leaps and bounds on a daily basis, and I do not see the craze fizzling anytime soon. If I am not mistaken, people said in its early days that the telephone would never make it, and I bet you just thought about checking to see if you had missed a call or text message, didn't you? Think outside the box if you are going to begin your own business, it is the risk takers that are the most successful.
